Update July 1, 2007......Yippee!! Our super special, special needs kitty Jiffy has found a forever home!
You can read Jiffy's story below........we are so happy that we decided to give this guy - who tested positive for Feline Leukemia a chance and we are extremely grateful to the staff of Warren Animal Hospital who have done such a great job caring for Jiffy while he waited to find his home. On Sunday, July 6th Jiffy will head off on a big adventure, making a road trip to his new home in Maryland! He tells us that he doesn't mind the thought of a car trip at all and he is anxious to meet his new feline friend - another leukemia positive kitty who lives at the house he is headed to. His new friend, Nanito has stayed healthy for nearly 2 years after being diagnosed and his new human Mom and Dad are looking forward to having Jiffy join this special family. Nanito even has his own video on YouTube we are looking forward to photo and video updates of Jiffy when he arrives and settles in!
PLEASE HELP JIFFY, OUR VERY, VERY SPECIAL KITTY FIND A HOME OF HIS VERY OWN!!!

Jiffy really needs a home - can you help, or do you know anyone who may be able to?! Jiffy is a super handsome and very friendly orange and white boy. He is a big, playful guy - about 2 years old. Jiffy was found as a stray in Barrington and brought in by a kind resident. Unfortunately he tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Although he has this disease he is currently a healthy, strong boy and we want to give him a chance at life - even if it may end up not being a very long one. Jiffy cannot live with other cats unless they are also leukemia positive. He has been neutered and vaccinated and is all set to head off to a new home. Will you give this very special boy a chance?! He will reward you with lots of love, smiles and fun and the joy of knowing you have helped to save a life. Jiffy is staying at the Warren Animal Hospital in Warren, RI. The staff there would be happy to talk with you about the details of feline leukemia and what you can expect - contact Barrington PAW to make arrangements for a visit with this special boy.

UPDATE.......Grayboy has been adopted and is loving life as a VERY spoiled house cat!! Who would have thought that this rough "street kitty" would turn out to be such a sweet guy who really just wanted a home of his own!
Meet Grayboy........despite his somewhat grumpy appearance he is a super friendly boy.He loves people and seems great with dogs and other cats too - he would make a fantastic family pet. He was rescued from a very tough life outside and still has some battle scars from the time he spent fending for himself. Now he is just happy to lounge inside! He loves attention and is a very low-key fellow. He is about 2 years old and in good health. He has been neutered, vaccinated and has all of his other health care needs taken care of - he is all set for his new home! Grayboy is spending time in a foster home right now - contact us to arrange for a visit.
We have lots of kittens right now!! Ages 6 weeks - 14 weeks - male and female various colors. ALL are super friendly, healthy, playful and sweet. Our kittens are staying in foster homes but can be visited by appointment - contact us today!

Meet Olive - what a truly beautiful kitty she is! She was found as a stray - it is so hard to imagine why anyone would have abandoned this girl! She is a beautiful light gray (silver) tiger kitty with a nice white bib and paws. She is about 4-5 years old, and in good overall health. She loves to explore her environment and is curious about everything that is happening around her. She would love a nice window to perch in and watch the world go by! Olive is really not all the fond of other animals, it seems that she would probably prefer to be a pampered princess all on her own.. She is friendly, but not overly affectionate. She can be a bit strong-willed (like many middle-aged women!) and would probably be better in an adult only home - we suspect she will do quite well with a cat experienced owner who undestands the language of "cattitude". Olive is taking applications for the perfect home - she says that a nice place to lounge in the sun is required! She is currently being pampered in a great foster home but would love a place to call her very own!
Rescue Me
Rescue me not only with your hands but with your heart as well.
I will respond to you.
Rescue me not out of pity but out of love.
I will love you back.
Rescue me not with self-righteousness but with compassion.
I will learn what you teach.
Rescue me not because of my past but because of my future.
I will relax and enjoy.
Rescue me not simply to save me but to give me a new life.
I will appreciate your gift.
Rescue me not only because of who I am but who I'm to become.
I will grow and mature.
Rescue me not to revere yourself to othersbut because you want me.
I will never let you down.
Rescue me not with a hidden agenda but with a desire to teach me to trust. I will be loyal and true.
Rescue me not to replace one you've lost but to soothe your spirit.
I will cherish you.
Rescue me not to be your pet but to be your friend.
I will give you unconditional love.
