First and foremost if you believe your pet is lost please contact the Barrington Police Department at 437-3935 to see if anyone has called to report it found. You should then contact us, ideally via e-mail at info@barringtonpaw.org. We will be happy to post your information on this website and to contact you right away if we have any reports of found animals matching your missing pet's description. When you e-mail please provide as many details as possible, including description of animal, date and time it went missing, location it was last seen and anything else we should be aware of. If available please also send a photo of your animal in a jpeg format.
If we have any information regarding an animal that was picked up by Barrington Animal Control or the police department we will post that information on the "Found Animals" page of this site. The information is kept current at all times.
Animals can travel or be picked up by residents from other areas, therefore it is a good idea to check with shelters and rescue groups in surrounding communities - here is their contact information:
